then it took me bout an hour and a half to figure out how to make my usb drive bootable (was putting files on drive and making it bootable in the wrong order)
Image

so after staring at that screen for a good 10 mins, i get to stare at this one! :D
Image

this screen then decides to pop up, and i click two things before resuming staring at screen

then i get all excited when this screen pops up, because it looks like shits gonna happen!

lol@n00bs building their own systems

I remember when I was like 15 or 16 and started playing with my PC's "guts", breaking it, then fixing it, then breaking something else, then fixing it, then trying to update drivers and breaking the driver install, etc. It is funny to see it happening to someone else after having been there more than a decade ago. Ahhhh to be young and curious again...or in duo's case, bi-curious.

It's not the n00bs fault, Windows 7 is just pure gay. Not even worth it for $FR.EE!

Not true. The Win7 Ultimate 32bit cracked version I have been running on a 2 year-old laptop works great for what I need it for (school, general browsing). Still on old faithful (XP Pro) on the main desktop though. I shudder to think when the day comes to leave her behind, the same way I got misty-eyed when I had to leave Win2kPro for XP Pro. :(

I guess I'll revoke my not worth it for $FR.EE statement.. funny enough, the day after I said that I found out I get a free MS Technet subscription for being a Dell employee. So I get 10 free copies of... everything... I put 7 Ult. back on my computer and I suppose it makes a decent CSS and Starcraft 2 frontend. I got tired of Starcraft "running out of pool memory" from Windows XP - although I did figure out how to fix that later.

I just really hate their new networking gayness with Homegroup. It's nearly impossible to network with legacy Windows systems. That and it wouldn't even install on my brand new company laptop because it wouldn't see the SATA controller.

I can't wait until they put Steam onto Linux. And then nobody would have to worry about whether they should spend 300$ for a new Windows desktop theme. Viva la Penguin.
