This thread is just to outline some of my expectations of how the team will operate.

I expect you to check this forum regularly to keep updated on matches, strats, news, etc.

CAPTAINS/SERVER

EDIT: On the TWL ladder, we are allowed to have as many captains as we want, but the rules state that only two captains are allowed to use MM1 so I'll probably select like 2 captains, one SM and one non SM player.

All team members will be given RCON access to run the server configs and all team members can use the servers at their discretion. I assume that if you are on my team, you are trustworthy. Only captains can run the noobtwl.cfg and lo3.cfg to begin matches though.

PRACTICES:

Practices will be held once weekly. The night we practice will be dependent upon what works for everyone. PM me what nights/times work for you. I'm hoping that we can get a practice in the night before a match so that we can practice the map.

MATCHES:

You'll be expected to play with the smL | tag on and to play under the screenname you signed up with on TWL and use the same STEAMID. You also should be somewhat familiar with the rules of both leagues, which are provided in the materials forum.

You will be expected to know how to take a screenshot in game. I will give everyone a registered copy of FRAPS upon request (a $40 value, absolutely free! :P)

You will be expected to know the strategies and execute them on command, not go rogue and just "do what you want to do."

You will be expected to unbind your spray key and disable your message mode one chat key (Y). We speak in MM2 only if we chat in game. Otherwise, we use Ventrilo or in-game voice. The best way to do this is to just create a different config file that you can execute right before a match with these parameters added:

name smL | <name>
unbind y
unbind t

If you're dead, shut the fuck up unless you die and are telling the team where you died and how many of the opposing team there are, or just use your common sense. Nobody wants to hear you rage in Vent, it takes our concentration off. Also, don't say "good job," (or similar) because even though you're being nice, again: concentration is key. Congratulate at the end of the round.

You'll be expected to have all maps downloaded, including our warm-up maps. We want you to show up 1 hour to 30 minutes prior to a match (this is really less important in the first few weeks of TWL, but will become increasingly important as we progress). I want to play 3 maps for about 10-20 minutes each: awp_india_v2, an aim_deagle map, and an aim_ak-colt map, just for warmup with those guns.

STARTING ROSTER CHOICE:

I understand that everyone wants play time and we have more than 5 players, so I will choose a starting roster accordingly:

Team captains get first choice as to whether they play or not.

Other factors that contribute:

How active have you been overall? Have you been active in practices and the forums?
Did you show up to practice? Have you been showing up to practices?
Did you play in the last match? How many matches have you been able to play?
How did you perform in the last practice/matches?
How well do you know the strategies?

If you don't get to play in a match, it's not a personal thing, and I'll take it into account next time. I will be keeping an Excel spreadsheet of who plays in each match and how well they did, as well as noting players who do well in practices. I'd like to get to the point that we have 5 main starters will guys who are willing to be on backup. If either option sounds better to you, LET ME KNOW!! If you want to be a part of the team but can't always make practices & matches, be a backup/substitute player. If you are hardcore, dedicated, and want to see us win and you're willing to make any effort to see that, then be a main!

If you have any questions/comments regarding team operations, reply here.

fraps? for recording the match???
just use the HL2 console commands, i.e;
record FILENAME - to start recording, the recording will be placed in your cstrike folder once its stopped.
stop - to stop the recording

fraps records in .avi, which means very large video files, the size of the demos on the hl2 recording are significantly smaller.
as for practices and stuff, im open all nights cept saturday night. otherwise im open.

i just have paint open in the background, and his the SS button, minimize then paste it, open new paint window, repeat.

oh and since someone accidentally gave me access to ALL of the boards(dont worry someone fixed it), i watched the demo of Art of war. (sry, i wont tell) but yes he's walling, maybe not all the time, but the pic below is just one instance of him tracking people through walls, he also keeps people(that r around corners/walls) in the edge of his view so he can keep track of them. But he tries not to be so blatant obviously.
the two kills in CT spawn was a good example, so were the kills in B and short.

FYI: to get this view when watching demos to see if someone is walling, type "r_drawothermodels 2" in your console, its how cal does it.

He walls? So... is he bannable now?

EDIT: After watching that it's obvious he's good at hiding it, but with the "r_drawothermodels 2" I do think he's walling also. He's verrrry very good at hiding it, I would never have the self control not to aim at the people through boxes and stuff, but there were 3 spots when he messed up:

1st time, he's at T-side of mid, shooting at CT's through double doors; he never aims directly at them through the doors, but aims at where they are moving toward as they come into view. Don't tell me that's reaction time, because his mouse is moving toward those spots before they get there.

2nd time, not too long after the first time, he kills one CT at catwalk, then pre-aims at another standing in that one corner that is visible from mid. This is the most blatant one to me; I would ban him right then if I had seen that.

3rd time, he's at long A shooting at CT's in CT spawn, this one is also more obvious. There is an instance where there is one CT crouching in view and another hidden behind the wall on the right; he ignores the crouching one and shoots at the hidden one as he comes out of hiding.

Next time I see him I'm going to ban him, and I'm not going to play in the smL team if he is also, this guy is not only a cheater/liar, but he's an asshole, making us feel bad for banning him in the first place. How he lives with himself is something I won't try to think about.

I think somewhere in the twl roolz it says that we're required to use in-game "jpeg" command for ss's.

I'm down to play pretty much any day of the week except for the few days before tests lol.
