This thread is just to outline some of my expectations of how the team will operate.
I expect you to check this forum regularly to keep updated on matches, strats, news, etc.
CAPTAINS/SERVER
EDIT: On the TWL ladder, we are allowed to have as many captains as we want, but the rules state that only two captains are allowed to use MM1 so I'll probably select like 2 captains, one SM and one non SM player.
All team members will be given RCON access to run the server configs and all team members can use the servers at their discretion. I assume that if you are on my team, you are trustworthy. Only captains can run the noobtwl.cfg and lo3.cfg to begin matches though.
PRACTICES:
Practices will be held once weekly. The night we practice will be dependent upon what works for everyone. PM me what nights/times work for you. I'm hoping that we can get a practice in the night before a match so that we can practice the map.
MATCHES:
You'll be expected to play with the smL | tag on and to play under the screenname you signed up with on TWL and use the same STEAMID. You also should be somewhat familiar with the rules of both leagues, which are provided in the materials forum.
You will be expected to know how to take a screenshot in game. I will give everyone a registered copy of FRAPS upon request (a $40 value, absolutely free!

)
You will be expected to know the strategies and execute them on command, not go rogue and just "do what you want to do."
You will be expected to unbind your spray key and disable your message mode one chat key (Y). We speak in MM2 only if we chat in game. Otherwise, we use Ventrilo or in-game voice. The best way to do this is to just create a different config file that you can execute right before a match with these parameters added:
name smL | <name>
unbind y
unbind t
If you're dead, shut the fuck up unless you die and are telling the team where you died and how many of the opposing team there are, or just use your common sense. Nobody wants to hear you rage in Vent, it takes our concentration off. Also, don't say "good job," (or similar) because even though you're being nice, again: concentration is key. Congratulate at the end of the round.
You'll be expected to have all maps downloaded, including our warm-up maps. We want you to show up 1 hour to 30 minutes prior to a match (this is really less important in the first few weeks of TWL, but will become increasingly important as we progress). I want to play 3 maps for about 10-20 minutes each: awp_india_v2, an aim_deagle map, and an aim_ak-colt map, just for warmup with those guns.
STARTING ROSTER CHOICE:
I understand that everyone wants play time and we have more than 5 players, so I will choose a starting roster accordingly:
Team captains get first choice as to whether they play or not.
Other factors that contribute:
How active have you been overall? Have you been active in practices and the forums?
Did you show up to practice? Have you been showing up to practices?
Did you play in the last match? How many matches have you been able to play?
How did you perform in the last practice/matches?
How well do you know the strategies?
If you don't get to play in a match, it's not a personal thing, and I'll take it into account next time. I will be keeping an Excel spreadsheet of who plays in each match and how well they did, as well as noting players who do well in practices. I'd like to get to the point that we have 5 main starters will guys who are willing to be on backup. If either option sounds better to you, LET ME KNOW!! If you want to be a part of the team but can't always make practices & matches, be a backup/substitute player. If you are hardcore, dedicated, and want to see us win and you're willing to make any effort to see that, then be a main!
